My day at Bewilderwood!

dsc_0327Went to visit some of my friends in Hertfordshire and was invited to go along with them to what they described as a walk in the woods. Bewilderwood was far more than that! An interesting concept, all sort of woody things to do for the youngsters, parents and grandparents, little boat trips, construction of dens, story telling, swings, mazes and slides. We visited in the October half term. During this time they stayed opened late for a lantern procession. The children and adults were encouraged to make lanterns from withies, and tissue paper, great fun! The addition of a light stick was a necessary addition for the procession in the dark. Although we had to wait a bit for the procession to start, it was the best bit of the day with light effects, smoke machines and puppets. A great day out. One warning though, the wooden maze was great but once in we went around for a number of rounds trying to find the exit!! Make sure you remember the way in!!

A Start

I have meant to start this Blogg a long time ago. I hope it will be of use to all those who are thinking about retirement. It will provide some useful info about what I am up to, about insurance, scams for us oldies, some great product reviews and some do’s and don’ts. Watch out for this space. I am new at this so bear with me as I navigate and develop my site. Please leave feedback and follow me!! A big thanks to my friend Kate for helping me to get up and running.
